“Have you ever been so frustrated on the Golf Course that you threatened to buy a cheap set of clubs so you could wrap the damned club around a tree without feeling like more of an idiot—all because that obnoxious little dimpled white ball seems to be determined to defy your every wish and dream?”

You know the scene: You are intelligent and reasonably coordinated. After all, you can walk and chew bubble gum at the same time. Hell, most of your game is pretty good. But there is that one shot. And how it haunts you. Over and over it happens again and again—just as welcome as the sloppy drunk uncle who shows up at your Thanksgiving Day Dinner every year. You start to worry about it every time you step on the course. “Is it going to happen this time?” Well, that sure adds fun and excitement to a round.

You’ve tried everything—from the gimmicks and gadgets to the videos and private lessons with the Pro. Always, they talk about the mechanics. “It’s so simple, just do it this way.” And maybe it does work on the practice range, but the minute you are on the course with your buddies, your unwanted “friend” is back like the proverbial brown object in the punch bowl.

All these people who have been trying to help you have been focused on the wrong muscle! They tell you to hold your arm a certain way or to change your grip or your stance. Lot’s of different muscles involved in this. But these guys are focused on the wrong muscle. It is that 6” of muscle between your ears that is causing you the problem. Fix it, and you will permanently fix the problem. And there are only five steps to fixing it.

“Here Are Five Secrets To Making The Shot And Permanently Ending Your Frustration By Simply Talking Directly To Your Subconscious Mind—Which Is Where The Problem Is And Always Has Been”

What is the biggest frustration that you face on the golf course? I am not sure what your answer is, but I do know what I hear from the golfers that I work with on a daily basis. It is some problem that only shows up on certain finesse shots from certain locations. Or, “Well, things are just great on the practice tee. People tell me that I have a great swing. But as soon as I am on the course, my swing goes bad.” Another popular complaint is, “I play the first three holes pretty well. Then one bad shot and my game goes to hell . . .”

What is common in these cases? Simple. The player does well in one set of circumstances but not in another. In other words, the physical skills are already there—maybe a little on the rough side, but they are there nonetheless. So, what is the difference? It is in your mind?

Is that important? Okay, how about if I give you $20 to walk across a 12' long, 8" wide plank without stepping off? You could handle that, right? But I forgot to mention that I am going to suspend it between the roofs of two city buildings. Now there is a 300’ drop involved if you make a misstep. Won’t go for $20? How about $50? $1000?  What has changed? The board is the same width and length. Walking takes the same muscle movements and control. The difference? It is in your mind, isn’t it?

Same thing happens on the golf course: things are fine for most shots or the early holes. Maybe it is that one finesse shot. Something changes in your mind. Your swing is no longer effortless, and the problems set in. The situation is compounded when some well intentioned "coach" attempts to help by giving you minor adjustments in your stance or swing. So you focus on holding your arm this way or that way. Things just get worse. The ensuing frustration adds to tension, which further decreases your performance.

The first “secret” is to understand that the body always responds to instructions from the subconscious mind. The primary “language” of this part of the mind is pictures. Oh, sure someone may be talking to you, telling you to hold your arm in a certain position or something like that. That gets translated into a picture. So you end up holding that body part in the right position and 10 other things go wrong with your swing. Are you thinking about ripping the ball 250 yards down the center of the green or holding your elbow at a37.2 degree angle on the down stroke inside to out? If you want to do it right, your conscious focus has to be on the results, not the mechanics.

Now, here is the real rub: Chances are that you are not consciously aware of picturing process—why do you think they call it the “subconscious” or “unconscious” part of the mind? Are you with me on this? Your body responds to the pictures you make in your mind—regardless of whether you are consciously aware of your pictures or not! And unless you’ve been trained by an expert, you won’t be aware of them.

Hypnosis is useful in helping you create a powerful image of what you do want. Moreover, we can program you to hold that image firmly in mind no matter what happens! Lots of sports “gurus” or people that call themselves “sports psychologists” talk about visualizing, but have little understanding of what makes it truly effective. To get any real  benefit from visualization, you must be in a trance state—hypnosis.

Thank you for taking the time to make these life-changing tapes. You are the best."

The second secret involves controlling internal voices. No, I am not talking about “Joan  of Arc” type voices. I’m talking about the ordinary, run of the mill internal “talking to ourselves” that we all do. You know, the thoughts that just float through your mind. Again, some of this is outside your conscious awareness—so, if you believe you don’t do this, it just means it is happening outside your awareness. That, of course, makes it far more dangerous to the outcome of your game.

What kinds of things do we say to ourselves? “Don’t hit it into the woods.”  “Don’t slice it.”  “Don’t loft it over the green.” For most of us, there is an over abundance of “don’ts” in our internal dialogue. Well, guess what. You have to do the same thing to process internal dialogue that you do for external. You make a picture! Results: you get the very thing you want to avoid.

Okay, here is the deal. Do not think about blue monkeys. No matter what you do, do not think about blue monkeys. No blue monkeys. Just to process those words internally, you have to make a picture of blue monkeys—you have to do the thing that you are being asked to avoid!!!!!  And it does not matter whether you are listening to some “coach” or to your own internal dialogue.

What this means to your golf game is this: If you address the ball telling yourself what you don’t want to happen, you will make an internal picture of doing that very thing—whether you are conscious of that picture or not. Has nothing to do with intelligence—your brain cannot do otherwise. Chances are that your body will then deliver what it truly believes you are asking for.

So, which shots is this true for? Short game? Long game? Finesse shot? Doesn’t matter. Many golfers address the ball and start thinking about what they don’t want to happen. Do this often enough, and you will be wrapping your expensive clubs around the nearest tree.

Suppose you were lining up your shot—and just before you started your backswing, George’s mother (from Seinfeld) stood behind you and screeched into your right ear, “Don’t blow it.” Would that help your shot? I don’t think so. What you may not have realized yet is that internal voices have tonal qualities and position. I had one client who had just such a voice. He came to see me because he “always flubbed” his tee shots—not realizing how he was using an internal voice to sabotage himself. Within an hour, we had moved the offending voice to his big toe. Now, his tee shots are just fine. With hypnosis, it is easy for you to change both the position and the tonal qualities of any voice you are running inside your head. And we can help you discover the ones that you are unaware of.

In fact, we even have ways of tuning off internal dialogue completely. NLP researchers found a simple technique that most of the really great professional athletes use to shutoff the internal dialogue while they are playing. No one had ever taught them to do this—they had simply adopted a habit that had the effect of shutting off all dialogue. Again, this “secret” is something that it is very easy to learn to do, especially when you are in trance.

So, what happens when you have a bad shot? I have had people tell me that one bad shot totally destroys their game. Why? What is different after the one bad shot than before it? Does Captain Kirk magically appear and beam  you to more difficult course? Maybe, a bad shot means that your brain has suddenly gone into rapid disintegration? Or some critical muscle just fell off your body? Of course not. The only difference is in your mind. You still have the same skills you had before. But you no longer have the concentration they had before the shot. Hypnosis has an easy fix for this one.

I use your system religiously and have become a better golfer and competitor because of it. A player must improve what's going on between the ears and feel that they can excel and win. The mental and subconscious aspect is very hard to train but your tapes have done just that.

I had one woman tell me that she “just can’t concentrate after a bad shot.” If you were here, I would tell you the same thing I told her. “Not concentrating” is actually doing something. Instead of telling yourself over and over again, “I can’t concentrate,” try this: Ask yourself “How do I do the process of not concentrating?” I know it sounds odd, but this question will yield you tons of useful insight.

Chances are your process for not concentrating involves making internal pictures and sound effects. Are these pictures positive? Are the sound effects inspiring? Probably not on both counts.  Once you discover your own particular process of “not concentrating,” it is an easy job to reprogram yourself to play even better after a bad shot—well, it is  easy with hypnosis, of course.

Does this happen to you? You watch a really good match on TV, and then you go out the next day and play much better than normal. Whether you have noticed this for yourself or not, it is true for a lot of folks. There is a simple reason for this. It is tied up in how we human beings learn. If you have ever been around a child learning to walk, then you have seen this process in action, whether you realized it or not. After all, walking is probably the most difficult physical skill any of us ever have to master in our lives. But since we all do it, we just take it for granted. How did you learn to walk?

It starts with observing others doing it, and doing it quite well, I might add. Until age six or seven, children spend most of their time in a trance state—as controversial as this may sound to you, it has been measured with sophisticated brain wave monitors and is an indisputable fact. But the real key is how children use this trance state to learn rapidly! When they watch something, they are totally involved. A child learning to walk watches other children and adults walk. Eventually, he begins to imagine himself doing it. And then he starts the process of training the muscles, learning to balance and all the other subtleties of walking.

That is the way you learned the most difficult skill you’ve ever had to learn in your life. And it is a good way to learn lesser skills, such as hitting a stupid little dimpled ball with a bent stick. Here is the easy way to learn any new skill. Put yourself in a light trance and imagine watching an expert do something. Watch the mental movie several times noticing more and more of the details. Then, picture yourself doing exactly the same thing your expert did. Then imagine doing it as if it were happening to you right now. It is a fantastic way to develop new skills rapidly.

The fifth “secret” that will revolutionize your game is this: the “Zone” is an ordinary state of consciousness that you can learn to enter at will. It is not some mystical state of grace reserved for the “chosen few” that the gods take a liking to. No, it is something that you can learn easily and rapidly. I know this probably seems fantastic to you, particularly if you have ever stumbled into it like I did when I was in my teens. I spent years wondering what it was that I had experienced and not having a clue how to get it back

And what is this zone? Different adjectives come up, but the most common ones are “peaceful,” “focused,” “timeless,” and “effortless.” And sometimes it is described as “playing out of my mind.” In short, these duffers are describing a state of meditation or trance. Ah, the domain of hypnosis. Just allow yourself to go into a light trance the next time you play—but that in itself is not enough.

You have to program in the right characteristics to the trance. This involves changing your perception of time on the outside versus on the inside. I know this sounds crazy, but let me ask you this: Have you ever been zipping along the expressway and get off at your exit. It feels like you have slowed down to, say 30 mph. But when you look down at the speedometer, you are still traveling at over 60 mph? That strange sensation that disappears quickly is part of the zone experience. Learning to deliberately generate it and hold onto it is accomplished easily with hypnosis.

So, what are the five secrets that you could use to make that shot and permanently end your frustration?

Ø      You must learn to set up a clear communications channel between your subconscious mind and your body. Without this in place, you are doomed to hackerdom for ever.

Ø      Second, you must learn to control your internal dialogue—to paraphrase the old saw, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will destroy my game.”

Ø      Next, you need a system to recover from the “stuff” (you know, “stuff happens”) that comes up on the course. Instead of a bad shot ruining your game, allow it to inspire you to play your best golf ever.

Ø      And you need an effective way of learning new skills and improving old ones—to play like a pro, you have to play like a pro.

Ø      Finally, you need the ability to isolate yourself from the world around you by going into the “zone” and playing out of your mind. Although it sounds like a tall order, it is easy with hypnosis.

These are easily learned skills that you can hope that you can master someday—by luck or trial and error or whatever. Or you can take the fast track to great game of golf. How?

GOOD NEWS!: All five of these secrets are available to you in Golf Easy, The Complete Hypnotic Golf Course.  Develop these skills at your leisure in the privacy of your own home. The only other equipment you need is a simple tape or CD player. Golf Easy delivers to you the thrill of playing your best game on the Golf Course, not the practice area.

"Here's What The Greatest Golfer Ever Had To Say About The Game"

"Playing Golf is like eating; it is something which has to come naturally. When you were a child you had to learn how to hold a spoon, then a fork and a knife. Finally you mastered them and now you handle them automatically.

Now, if you think about bending your elbow when you eat, you just might poke yourself in the eye. It's the same way with golf. Naturally, you have to learn the various parts of the swing, but once you get it, don't think about your swing anymore. If you do, you maybe won't poke yourself in the eye; but you'll sure ruin your golf swing."
